Two weeks in and I am inching along, literally ounce by ounce. My first thought was to write that I have ONLY put on 0.4 kgs this past week but I am going to change that to state that I have regained nearly half a kilogram and a total of 1.7 kgs in 2 weeks since I started this challenge. Instead of beating myself up for not having gained more, I am going to be happy and grateful that the scale is upwardly mobile and is climbing in the right direction. I may be slow to reach the summit but it is persisting and getting there that is important not the rate of my climb. Slow and steady wins the day eh?
Interestingly ,I did not have the usual panic or horror when stepping off the scale this morning. I think that a slower incline suits my psyche better as I can contain this amount with a sense of control instead of fearing that it has spiralled out of control, as mentioned in a previous blog.
So here it is in black and white: 45.8kgs at the start of week 3.
What played a starring role in this past week’s menu?
These little babies. Chia puds. Can be eaten anytime – Healthy, filling and quite moreish.
